Established in 1987, Altek Alarko is one of the pioneering companies in the Turkish energy sector and carried out Türkiye’s first energy projects under the Build-Operate-Transfer model before the liberal market structure was established. Altek Alarko operates renewable energy facilities and develops new projects also based on renewable energy sources. Since its foundation, Altek Alarko had established and operated power plants  with installed capacity of 283 MW and currently operates total installed capacity of  168,6MW, comprise of Karakuz HEPP (76 MW), Gönen HEPP (10.6 MW) and Kırklareli Combined Cycle Gas Power Plant (82 MW).
